Do You Hate Your Job and Want to Start an Online Business?

Sharing is caring!

I totally understand this and you hear it all the time. I hate my job! I hate the work culture! If I could, I would love to finally quit my job and work from home!

Did you know that you can start a home-based business without quitting your job? (at least don’t quit your job, just yet)

People are just tired of the 9 to 5 grind, while others have personal or health reasons to name just a few.  Today more than ever before, extra income is necessary to keep a household together. Job security in many industries is very low, and everything is getting more expensive by the day.

As a means of supplementing income, many people want to move their skills and ideas to start a home-based business move into the online world, while working a full-time job. They want a way to start working online while still keeping their job.

It is quite simple and does not require a lot of start up cash. Most people start by taking inventory of their skillset and getting a good grip of what they will offer as their service.

Hopefully, you have been thinking about this all along. Take this to heart, do your research. The best way to accomplish a goal of working from home to start an online business is to have a simple business plan and clarity.

This is where I can step in, and I can help you with your business vision. I always dreamed of having my own business since I was in my early 20s.  As a matter of fact, I worked in corporate for many decades, and I’ve been there and experienced the headaches of debating if I am good enough to start a business. I didn’t know what type of business to have, who to talk to ask questions, it was keeping me up awake at night for weeks!

I had no idea where to start and while goggling “how-to’s”, in the meantime looking for work in a very small town where the opportunities were rare.  Eventually, after weeks of meditating and visioning of me working from home, I was gifted the answer to my prayers. The Law of Attraction does work!

I started my business in 2014 as a service provider, offering general administrative support and earned income coming in from clients locally, but as you work online, people started finding me, and my client base expanded globally!

I’m able to help people worldwide, how awesome is that?! And I help others without sacrificing my soul and life’s purpose. Since I was now earning income, I spent some of my profits and invested in my professional development and received certifications in digital marketing, business mentorship and as a Coach.

If you are seriously thinking of starting a business from home and you have skills that can help others, here are a few tips on how to start:

  • Research online using google
  • Then do your research on that business
  • Write up a quick plan on what your offering, whether it would be to provide services or sell products or both
  • Will you need a business license
  • What type of business structure will you have, for example an LLC, incorporation, etc., (is this necessary in your local area)
  • To get online, you’ll need a website
  • For your website, write the content and gather images to include
  • Add your contact information

When you do your research, don’t compare yourself to other super successful entrepreneurs online and don’t let them discourage you. Remember, we all start from the basics, and they didn’t become “online entrepreneur stars” overnight.
